Function: The Aurora Chamber Foundation is the authorized 501(c)3 arm of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. It was formed exclusively for educational, community support and charitable purposes. Its goals include improving the level of citizenship and civic participation; promoting business education; developing broad community leadership; enhancing awareness of community and cultural arts; promoting community safety; and providing military support for otherwise unmet needs. In line with these goals, the Foundation concentrates its efforts in three important areas: the Police Reward Fund in cooperation with the Aurora Police Department; the Wounded Warrior and Deployed Spouses program in cooperation with Buckley Air Force Base; and the Leadership Aurora program to expose emerging community leaders to opportunities for advancing the community as a whole. Members of the Foundation Board of Directors include business leaders who have served previously in senior positions on The Chamber Board.
