Function: This committee reviews and monitors transportation-related issues brought before it. This highly diverse group, which includes transportation professionals from government and industry, elected officials, and those who understand the importance of transportation infrastructure to the success of the business community, has been involved in a wide range of projects including interchanges at Alameda & I-225 and Colfax & I-225; I-225 corridor improvements and widening; the Peoria rail and Smith Road overpass; FasTracks; E-470 upgrades; and local intersection improvements. It was responsible for the Transportation Summit that led to the formation of the Eastern Metro Transportation Coalition (EMTraC).
