In 2015, The Chamber partnered with Tri-County Health Department in the Worksite Wellness Initiative. The goal of the initiative is to engage organizations to adopt best practices and policies to provide a healthy workplace environment. The three-year initiative (July 1, 2015-June 30, 2018) provides resources, assessment tools, counseling, and funding for Chamber member businesses that commit to joining the coalition.
The project for The Chamber is named ‘Work Well 2.0,’ and In 2016, The Health Series and Work Well 2.0 ‘merged’ to focus the Health Series on worksite wellness. In addition, a worksite wellness resource page is being created, to provide a central location for resources including information, discounts, etc.
The committee meets 8-9 am the second Thursday of each month at the Chamber office, unless otherwise specified.
