Function: Identifies critical business and legislative issues that influence the creation of public policy that will benefit the community and local businesses. It provides guidance and direction to the Chamber’s lobbyists in the State Legislature. This committee also works closely with city, county and state government officials on issues that concern the quality of life in the Eastern Metro area. In addition it also works closely with the education community – both at the primary/secondary and higher education levels--to ensure strong relations between the education and business communities and to make certain these institutions are creating an appropriate workforce to meet business needs.
