Committees & Programs

Ambassador Team
The Ambassador team welcomes new members to The Chamber and works to increase membership renewals. They also respond to questions, gather membership information, and promote existing Chamber programs.

Arts + Business Connection
The Arts + Business Connection (ABC) committee demonstrates and promotes the value of integrating the arts as a business tool, by exploring how business and industry can – and does – benefit from the arts. (Formerly Business for the Arts)

Defense Council
The mission of the Defense Council is to work with local military installations, the aerospace and defense industry, and other business representatives to promote and support the missions of the U.S. military.

The Diversity and Inclusion Council
The Diversity and Inclusion Council promotes diversity and inclusion in the business community through education, outreach, networking, mentoring, and recognition programs that engage the entire community and support business leaders.

Government Affairs, Education, and Energy
The Government Affairs, Education, and Energy committee identifies business, educational, and energy-related legislative issues that affect local businesses and the community. This committee provides direction to The Chamber’s lobbyist in the State Legislature, and works closely with government officials on issues concerning the business climate and quality of life in the Eastern Metro area.

Health Series
The Health Series offers useful information about healthcare trends and issues, provided by industry experts. The Health Series does not have regularly scheduled meetings, but holds meetings and events when issues arise.

Leadership Aurora
Leadership Aurora is a ten-month community leadership development program that educates and prepares current and developing community leaders who are committed to shaping Aurora’s future.

Emerging Leaders
Emerging Leaders is six-month leadership development program that provides training and practical experiences on personal leadership development, team and interpersonal relations, and community relations.

Transportation
The Transportation committee reviews and monitors transportation-related issues important to the success of the business community.

Women in Business
The Women in Business committee serves as a voice for all women in business, acting as an advocate on issues that affect their professional growth and long-term economic vitality.

Young Professionals
The Chamber’s Young Professional program empowers Eastern Metro Area young professionals and emerging leaders through professional development, philanthropy, education, and community.

Networking Groups:

Tips & Leads

    • Members of The Chamber who meet to build relationships and exchange business opportunities. This group meets every first & third Tuesday at lunchtime.

Lead by Example

      • The Lead by Example group meets the first and fourth Tuesdays of each month at lunchtime. The members network, exchange business leads, promote their businesses and share ideas to improve the business climate.

Positive Business Partners

      • The Positive Business Partners group meets the first Tuesday of each month, 8:30-10 am. The group provides its members networking opportunities, referral-based marketing, and lead generation, as well as educating and informing members about other businesses in the community.
