It’s a six-month leadership development program that provides training and practical experiences on personal leadership development, team and interpersonal relations, and community relations. The program begins with an orientation in January and a completion event in July.
What will I learn?
The first three months of the program are focused on personal leadership development. Included are leadership qualities, traits, and skills; emotional intelligence; and ethical behavior. Team/Interpersonal Relations and Community Relations are covered in the last two months with an emphasis on organizational communication and conflict resolution. Class members will also develop personal profiles and branding statements.
What is the Commitment?
One-day orientation – January
One-day session per month (February-May) – second Tuesday of each month
Monthly one-hour virtual check-in (February-May) – fourth Tuesday of each month
How do I apply and how much is it?
Tuition for the Emerging Leader program is $750.00 per participant. Tuition includes the orientation, monthly sessions, meals, and materials. A limited number of partial scholarships are available to Chamber members that are not able to pay the full tuition. Scholarships are awarded based on need and class composition. Tuition is due in full on December 15, 2022, unless prior arrangements have been made.
