On May 24, 2025, the Colorado Freedom Memorial hosted Colorado Remembers 2025, a solemn tribute honoring all Coloradans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
This year’s event marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, with eight WWII veterans in attendance—a living connection to history.
Distinguished guests included U.S. Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper, Congressman Jason Crow, Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman, Colorado’s Adjutant General, and senior military and community leaders. Attendees gathered to reflect, remember, and honor our fallen heroes through music, ceremonial tributes, and community connection. The event underscored Colorado’s enduring commitment to remembering its military history and those who served with valor.
