STRENGTHENING OUR MILITARY AND DEFENSE COMMUNITY THROUGH ORGANIZATION, SUPPORT, AND ADVOCACY
FOCUS AREAS
Strengthening military families through community connection, resources, and support. Pictured above is a sensing session lunch with Senior Enlisted Leaders from Buckley Space Force Base and our Director of Military Affairs, Rob Devall—fostering trusted relationships and direct insight into the challenges facing today’s service members and their families.
Advancing operational readiness through strategic partnerships and advocacy. Pictured above is the Future of Buckley Task Force, bringing together Congressman Jason Crow, Senator John Hickenlooper, Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, Lt Gen Laura Clellan, base leadership, city officials, and our Director of Military Affairs. This collaborative effort ensures unified support for Buckley’s evolving missions and long-term strategic relevance.
Promoting educational access and opportunity for service members and their families. Pictured above is the celebration following the passage of Colorado’s Purple Star School legislation—led by then-State Senator Rhonda Fields, now an Arapahoe County Commissioner. Joined by families, elected officials, and Buckley Space Force Base leadership, this milestone marked a major step forward in supporting military-connected students through enhanced school transition resources and recognition.
We connect military leaders, elected officials, industry partners, and local businesses through monthly meetings and special events, hosted by both community partners and military organizations.
At the 2025 annual event, Chief Master Sergeant Sharma Haynes (front), and Colonel Heidi Dexter (back) deliver Buckley Space Force Base's State of the Base. They announced the base's $2.6 billion economic impact, supporting over 20,000 jobs. The base emphasized key achievements, including a successful Air and Space Force Cyber Resilience Exercise, $102 million invested in weapons system infrastructure and quality-of-life projects, and the implementation of the Purple Star Initiative to support over 44,000 military-connected children, reinforcing its vital role in national defense and the local community.
Congressman Jason Crow addresses a BRMAC meeting, hosted at Cherry Creek Innovation Campus. We meet monthly (different locations every month) to bring together military leaders, business professionals, and community partners to discuss key issues impacting Buckley Space Force Base, service members, veterans, and their families.
Each meeting provides insightful updates, networking opportunities, and discussions on initiatives supporting military quality of life, mission readiness, and regional economic development. Whether you’re a business, organization, or individual looking to support our military community, we welcome you to join the conversation!
Typically held on the fourth Thursday of every month; register at the Chamber's calendar!
Now in its 49th year, we celebrate and honor the service and sacrifices of our junior military members at our Armed Forces Recognition Luncheon. This annual event brings together military leaders, community partners, and businesses to recognize outstanding junior service members from Buckley Space Force Base and the region.
