Government Affairs, Education, and Energy
The Government Affairs, Education, and Energy committee identifies business, educational, and energy-related legislative issues that influence the creation of public policy affecting local businesses and the community. This committee provides direction to the Chamber’s lobbyist in the State Legislature, and works closely with city, county, state, and federal government officials on issues concerning the business climate and quality of life in the Eastern Metro area.
2017 Eastern Metro Legislators
The committee meets at 7:30 am the first and third Thursdays of each month during the Legislative session, and the first Thursday of the month when the Legislature is not in session.
