Summing up the 2016-2017 Legislative Session and Looking Ahead – Government Affairs, Education and Energy / June 1, 2017

At the June 1 Government Affairs meeting, Mayor Hogan reported on City Council upcoming elections, and talked about the recent Sister City trip to Korea; Rhonda Fields, SD 29, reported that 15 of her 22 bills passed; Mike Weissman, HD 36, shared that six of his nine bills also passed; and APS Superintendent Rico Munn discussed school board elections and gave a presentation on APS Public-Public Partnerships.

Michael Steppat with Axiom Strategies, concluded the meeting by reviewing major topic of discussion in the Legislature: Construction Defect; Hospital Provider Fee; and Transportation.

There is no Government Affairs, Education, and Energy meeting in July 2017.
