The Chamber’s Business for the Arts committee experienced music, art, and politics at their September 6 meeting.
The morning started with a performance by Rocky Mountain Brassworks (RMBW), followed by a preview of the Clinton St. Mural project, and then information about Up With People, who will be in Aurora for a performance at Hinkley High School on Sept. 17 at 7 pm.
There was also discussion about SCFD funding on the November ballot. SCFD generates $1.85 billion annually and creates more than 10,000 jobs. The Chamber Board has taken a position to support SCFD funding, and yard signs are available at The Chamber office.
Thanks to RMBW President Rick Hatfield for bringing music into our morning; to AutoPros owner Renee Leon for introducing the committee to Up With People; and to Art in Public Places Coordinator Roberta Bloom for sharing the progress of the Clinton St. mural.
