The Government Affairs, Education and Energy committee took a field trip to Terrapin Care Station Cultivation Facility and Dispensary, located at 11900 E. 33^rd Ave., Aurora, CO 80010, for an educational tour of the industry.  Shawn Coleman, director of government affairs for Terrapin Care Station greeted the 22 attendees and gave an overview of what they would see on the tour.

The Terrapin staff explained the entire process of plant cultivation, and attendees were allowed to touch, smell, and take pictures of the plants. Questions were asked about extraction and how THC is transformed into oils, edibles, and products called sugar, wax, and shatter. They also shared information about health codes, tracking of product, and federal laws.
